The Last Day in NUS

The final night in of my undergraduate education. Its been 4 yrs here in NUS. It was a very hectic day to begin with. Too many things to settle.

Met up with prof and the rest of the lab ppl for a farewell dinner. Thanks so much for having this early for me! It was so hot hot hot. The freaking hot weather caused us to change our location from Clementi hawker center to Holland V restaurant.

Next I rushed back to pack up things to SQ place. He and Hend are my saviour. Allowing me to put my stuff at their place. :-)

We then checked out this restaurant at Neil Road. Very nice food indeed. But I forgot the name. Sigh. Haha. We had all sort of side dishes. So full!

SQ persuaded me to try this Hot & Sour Soup. Yummy.

My favourite. The Xiao Long Bao is so tasty. The soup that leaks out from it is very sweet!

SQ's favourite pan-friend Dumpling

The Lotus Paste Watever (forgot name again...haha).
SQ eaten like 3/4 of it as I was too full to eat it :0

SQ enjoying his food. Looking photogenic sia!

Me. The result of sleep deprived packing nights.

The walk around town was really good. Kinda reminded me good and bad times. From clubbing to visa application. But most of all is esplanade where we had our very first freshman outing to watch the fireworks. Looking back I realize that we all have came a long long way. Glad that I've met so many friends in this 4 years.

Here is an edited clip of my University Life. added in new photos towards the end of the clip to complete the summary of my life as an undergraduate.

Now, I am gonna do one more thing. The jog around school and west coast park. Gonna really miss those wonderful refreshing night jogs. Goodbye NUS...........

The Filler Post

Well, this post is just to fill up the Nov slot. Did not want to leave it empty. Hehe.

Life's been a routine lately. Was busy with school, part-time job, and final year project. Up till today I had 3 papers. All seemed good to me. One more on Monday. Keeping my fingers crossed for a shot at the best SAP ever in my Uni education.

Meanwhile, I finally finished my summary video on my participation in the International Summer School Program with UOS back in July. I know its been 4 months. I was busy. :p Enjoy this.

December will be hectic with FYP and work till Christmas week. That's when you'll see a lot of post from me again. Yup I'm goin' travellin' again. Yeeeharrrrrr. Where to? Well, check this space in a month's time.

Bye!

The Korean Language

Woke up round eleven today. Went outside to grab lunch with Teresa. Had a really hard time tryin to get food. I couldn't read a single word in Korean. My limited spoken Korean made the matter worse. I lost count how many gestures I used tryin to get just a sandwich and juice for brekafast. I ended up with vege in my sandwich and Banana juice. Stuff that i really hate. Argh. The sandwich tasted good after the discarded the veg though.

Tried to get Suz to go shoppin with me but failed. Irritating. Found out later at night that the batt was low and she was sick. Alright I forgive you. But u owe me a shoppin' trip. Keke.

Decided to join a group of people from the Summer school to shop. However, they all went out already. Poor me have to try to get to the station to meet them. Is about an hour away and I needed to find my way there using Korean signs. Buyin the transportation card was damn funny. The lady in the store was pointin all over the place as I gave a blank look when she tried to explain something to me.

When I finally reached the shoppin area. I realised how crowded it was. The most crowded I've ever seen so far in a normal day. Its like people are gathering to see fireworks on New Year's Eve.

We headed off to the peak of Seoul, Namsan Mountain. The air is so much cooler up there. Did not went up the obsevatory as it cost 8000won (about 8 USD). Been to enough tower from my trip in Canada.

The group photo up there reminds of those time in Calgary. But these photos are now just photos of smiley faces. It lacked the bond, laugther, happiness, tears and hardship and time spent together in Calgary. I still cannot understand why I cannot get over it. Perhaps it is really the best time that I ever had in life. Calgary, I miss you.

An unfinished clip on the last few weeks in Calgary. I miss spending time with all of you guys, my dear friends. I have not gotten over the life there after all this while. Perhaps it is really the best time in my life.

The Vision

I did another clip today while waiting for the flight to London today. Montreal! I used the song Cassaopeia by Rain as it was our anthem at espace confort. Looped it so much till it keep ringing in my mind. Here is the clip.

The flight on Thomas Cook turned out to be unexpectedly good. Two meals served in just 6 hours flight and lots of leg room too. Reached London on a rainy mornin'. After a little luck and following my instinct, I found Eunice's place.

We first went for breakfast then shopping at Saintberry. I hope i spelled it right. It was like a huge Superstore and its only 2 minutes walk from her place. So good! Went on to check out 3 museum in less than 1 hour. Haha. Went in just to take a little photo and videos. All the museums are freeee! Isn't that cool?

We next went around Imperial college, Royal Albert Theater, Chinatown and Picadilly Square. I like the busy feeling at Picadilly. It seems like the London that I envision. I truly like the red buses here. They look really attractive.

We next made a really impulsive decision to watch a musical. Decided on dirty dancing. However, tickets are out. The lady suggested that we take 'We Will Rock You'. I wanted to watch it in Toronto but did not have the time. We went ahead not knowing that it is actually the 5th Annivesary party tonight.

The casts were really impressive. They put on a very stunnin and powerful performance. The singing was marvellous. I can feel the energy charging throughout the hall. Choreography was simple but nice. Best musical so far for me. Got to see Queens live too! Now, that's really a bonus. I spoiled myself by buyin' some merchandise. Hehe, Finally I'm buying something.

London turned out to be superbly nice! Regret for not stayin longer.

I found a vision. I'm gonna do a check about something when I get back before deciding. This could be the biggest decision that I make in my life. And I hope I could finally follow my heart.

The Emptiness

I felt so empty after Suz left today. There were 5 of us in the begining of this trip. Abuchi, Santa, Anjuma and finally Haimoni left. I feel so alone now. Miss you guys so much. No mood to even go out for dinner. Guess in this short 4 period of time I really learned to enjoy all your company so much that I forgot how hard it is to deal with this emptiness once again.

So I started doing the only thing that would make me happy again. I made a video of us. FIrst up is Ottawa. Guess from now onwards everytime I made a video I will think of you guys. I will do my very best because I always remember how wonderful were the smile on your faces when you all watched the video.

New ambition: Travel journalist!

Here is the video of Ottawa

I know this is crazy.I maanaged to get 2 videos done in less than 4 hours! Woohooo! Now i truly understand why loneliness can help one succeed provided that it does not kills you. My efficiency increased by so much. This one is on Niagara Falls. When there were 5 of us. Lookin back all these memories really makes me laugh. Well, enjoy this second video too ya.

The Canadian Badlands

Whew! One of the most enjoyable day in my life. Went to the desert about 2 hours drive away on a day trip with fellow exchange students. The scenery was magnificient. Had lots of fun. Especially the April fool's pranks. I'm so gonna miss all these in the future.

On the way to Drumheller

At Horseshoe Canyon

Inside Royal Tyrell Museum

Hoodoos

Dinner at New Asia

April's Fool at Cascade Hall

Still kinda lost about where to go after my exchange. . Hate to say this but plans to travel after Canada ain't goin' on smoothly. Well, maybe I should just head home. After all they say, your family is the only one that will never let you down. Please let this be true.

Meanwhile my dear friends in Casacde lets enjoy the final 3 weeks we have together!

The Summary Clip

Here is a short clip I made of the past 2.5 years. Gonna miss this place a lot when I go on exchange. My wonderful room is now up for grabs! But don't fight over it okay.

Its funny how much can happen in such a short period of time. Thanks so much to all those who have made this two years so special. Keep in touch. Hugs!
